Soft Skills Training

How well developed are your people skills? Or your interpersonal and communication skills? Some also call them social skills or your emotional intelligence (EQ). How good are your persuasion and influencing skills? How diplomatic are you? How comfortably and confidently do you relate to and interact with people you deal with - both in business and in your personal relationships?

In the world of "hard" technical and business skills, I like to call these "soft skills".

  • How well do you present yourself? Do you have a presence? How would you like to develop that? Do others look up to you for answers?
  • How good are your negotiating skills? Are you overly competitive? Are you a loner or do you better work in a team environment? What if you could be really good at both?
  • How well are you networked? Would you like to develop networking into such a skill that people would call you to ask if you knew a person for their request, just because they know you to be a connector? Would you see the value in that? Do you sometimes envy those with a large network? Do you wish you knew how to do the same?
  • How confidently do you lead and manage others? Do you inspire people to help you achieve the outcomes you yearn for? Do you sometimes wonder how to get them to willingly follow you? How do you get the people on your teams to cooperate?
  • Perhaps you are a leader and wish the people in your team or department could have vastly improved "soft skills"? How much better could you and they deliver your expected outcomes by being better able to relate and influence?
